Over 100 achieve PRSJ PR planner status

The Public Relations Society of Japan today announced the results of the 8th
PRSJ Planner exam. Thirteen Dentsu Public Relations consultants received PR
planner accreditation, bringing the total number of PRSJ accredited PR
planners at Dentsu PR to 104, or over 46% of its employees and directors.

Kuniko Obinata Attends “Two Years to Go to London 2012” Event

Kuniko Obinata of Dentsu Public Relations Inc., who is a member of Management Committee of the Japan Paralympic Committee and a Torino and Nagano Winter Paralympic Alpine Skiing Gold Medalist, attended the special event “Two Years to Go to London 2012” at the British Embassy in Tokyo as a special guest on July 27. She shared the stage with Yuko Arimori, a Barcelona and Atlanta Olympic women’s marathon medalist and gave a speech wishing success for London, the birthplace of the Paralympic games in its hosting of the next summer Games.

Dentsu PR donated 78 mobile phones to the Japan Guide Dog Association

Dentsu Public Relations donated 78 mobile phones on March 31 to the Japan Guide Dog Association (JGDA). These mobile phones will be dismantled and sorted into rare metals and plastic parts. Sales of the gathered rare metals will be donated to the Association to be used for the training of guide dogs.

Kuniko Obinata of Dentsu PR Awarded the Tomin Sports Taisho

Kuniko Obinata of Dentsu Public Relations was awarded the Tomin Sports Taisho (Tokyo Sports Grand Prix) for her outstanding performance at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Paralympic Games. Students from American University of Kuwait Visit Dentsu PR

Information on Kuniko Obinata’s Performance at the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Games

March 23, 2010: Kuniko Obinata of Dentsu Public Relations has withdrawn from the Super-G race held on March 19 PDT (March 20 JST) and Super Combined Super-G race held on March 21 PDT (March 22 JST) as a result of head trauma suffered in an unfortunate accident during the downhill race.
March 19, 2010: Kuniko Obinata of Dentsu Public Relations raced in the women’s downhill in the sitting category on March 18 PDT (March 19 JST), but did not finish due to skiing out of bounds. She was taken to a local hospital because of a head trauma but was released soon after as there was not a serious injury.
March 17, 2010: Kuniko Obinata of Dentsu Public Relations won the bronze medal for the women’s giant slalom in the sitting category on March 16 PDT (March 17 JST). This is her second medal for the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Games and tenth overall.
March 15, 2010: Kuniko Obinata of Dentsu Public Relations won the bronze medal for women’s slalom in the sitting category on March 14 PDT (March 15 JST). This is the first medal won by a Japanese athlete in the Vancouver 2010 Winter Paralympic Games.

Dentsu Public Relations’ Obinata Will Compete in 2010 Vancouver Paralympic Games

Tokyo, December 25, 2009 – Alpine skier Kuniko Obinata of Dentsu Public Relations Inc. and 18 other athletes were formerly selected by the Japan Paralympic Committee to compete as the Japanese national team at the Vancouver Paralympic Games which start on March 12, 2010. Obinata, the Super-G gold medalist at the 2006 Winter Paralympic Games held in Turin, Italy, will compete in the downhill, super combined, super-G, giant slalom and slalom.

Print Ad Produced by Dentsu PR Wins Newspaper Advertising Award

Tokyo, November 17, 2009 – A full-page print advertisement produced by Dentsu Public Relations Inc. for Fuji Electric Holdings Co., Ltd. has won an honorary mention in the monochrome sub-division, newspaper category, of this year’s Japan industry advertising awards.

The ad entitled “We felt energy from nature” was created by Dentsu PR to express the importance of the environment and energy under the theme of “Environmental School” – part of the CSR initiative taken by Fuji Electric targeting elementary school children.

The annual awards, sponsored by leading Japanese industry newspaper, Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun and named ‘Nihon Sangyo Advertising’, were initiated in 1966 to recognize and celebrate creativity in print advertising. This year some 127 entries competed in the three categories of ‘Newspaper’, ‘Magazine’, and ‘Information Magazine’.
